Our team

  • OWNER, MANAGER, YOGA TEACHER, BARRE PILATES TEACHER

I first discovered yoga in 2012 when on a whim I decided to take a heated vinyasa class in my hometown, Newcastle. It felt like a gift. The teachings helped me to calm my mind and anxiety and my physical body started to heal. Yoga inspires me to live each day more mindfully. I am so grateful that now, as a teacher, I can share this gift with you.I have travelled the world as a singer, dancer and performer. Since completing my studies in Performing Arts I have worked for Universal Studios, Norwegian Cruise Line and the famous Sydney Showboat as lead singer and MC. Yoga Bare was founded by Karren Ogg in 2013. After managing the studio and teaching for 4 years, I fell in love with the community and took over ownership in December 2023.My mission as a yoga teacher is to create a loving and warm space for students to practice and make yoga accessible for all. I look forward to connecting with each one of you.

  • YOGA TEACHER, STUDIO ADMIN

Monique Fell started her yoga journey at 18 years old at an Ashram at Mangrove Mountain NSW. In that simple class she found a grounding and stillness that left her body and mind feeling energised and calm again.

The journey of her practice from there led to her initial training at the Byron Yoga studio Purna Yoga. Training under the highly respected John Ogilvie and others she grew in her knowledge and understanding.

Monique has been a professional ballet dancer both in Australia and Overseas dancing for the likes of New York Ballet School and Princess Cruises.

Monique is now a local to the Hawkesbury area where she has lived the last 11 years with her husband and 3 children. She loves to spend time in nature and her and her family regularly visit the remote wilderness areas of the Blue Mountains.

Monique is an important part of the Yoga Bare family. Initially volunteering, to now working as our administrative assistant. Anyone who speaks with her will immediately be struck by her positive and helpful nature.

  • YOGA TEACHER

Flora’s mission is to be a facilitator for all her students to reap the physical and mental benefits that come from synchronising body movements with breath work.

In 2013 she fell in love with how much self-discovery practicing yoga brings through mindfulness, relaxation, flexibility and strength training. Yoga has changed her life and her body in a way she could never have imagined. It has made her stronger, more flexible, centred and an overall calmer person. Now she wants to share that passion for yoga with those around her.

Flora’s additional specialisation in Yin Yoga (Anneriek Favelle) and Prana Vinyasa (Shiva Rea) allows her to guide students through a path of self-discovery of their bodies and their minds through their yoga practice. She does that by teaching that turning their focus inward can instil a great sense of respect for both body and mind. Furthermore, Flora creates an environment in which her students can practice at their own pace and challenge themselves as they wish.

  • YOGA TEACHER, MAT PILATES TEACHER, BARRE PILATES TEACHER

I am a people person with a passion for body movement & connection. I aim to inspire, encourage & motivate people of every age & ability to move more!

I began my yoga journey in my early 20’s feeling the positive physical, emotional & mental benefits of a regular practice with the guidance of a great teacher.

My body work began with Remedial /Therapeutic & Sports massage, Reflexology & a few short courses relating to natural therapies. I wanted to encourage people to move & stretch more, help themselves, this is where I discovered Pilates, and trained as an instructor 2014. This movement practice inspired another, I then progressed with Booty Barre training.

In 2020 I had an opportunity to dive a little deeper into the beautiful practice, study & lifestyle of Yoga & complete Yoga Teacher Training. I continued further training the following year completing Level 2 & Yin Yoga.

I am inspired to take you on a journey for the whole body during Yoga combining Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Breathwork & Meditation … Total Body connection.

  • YOGA TEACHER, BREATHWORK, AVAILABLE FOR 1:1

I have always adored movement. I have been dancing since childhood, discovering Yoga at 20 years of age. My first Yoga class was a 40 degree Bikram class, of which I hated every moment, – funnily enough now, Hot Flow is now my favourite practice.

What I loved most from the beginning was the grounding nature of Yoga. The freedom I felt to stretch it all out, but unlike regular stretch class, the magic of the breath work took everything to a deeper level. Yoga helped ground me and keep me out of my head, both on and off the mat. I noticed my moods, energy levels and strength differ so greatly when I was practicing regularly, and just generally loved myself more.

I like to challenge students physically and emotionally to allow Yoga to guide them into a deeper understanding of themselves. I place massive emphasis on breath and, like a cheer squad on the side of the football field, I rally the breath so I can hear it, feel it, making sure they are in their bodies not just moving through the motions.

I like to encourage students to take their Yoga beyond the mat, to practice being human in a way that makes the world a little brighter.

  • YOGA TEACHER

My name is Summalea Day but please feel free to call me Summa or Sum. I am currently studying with the goal of becoming a midwife.

I am a lover of life and enjoy sharing positivity, smiles and stories to those around me.

I started teaching yoga after completing my yoga teacher training in Bengas Lake, Nepal (mid 2018) after many years of mum taking me to yoga classes as a moody teenager. I decided I loved it and wanted to share the magic of yoga with others.

My classes are all about YOU. I encourage you to move in a way that feels good for YOU. It’s YOUR practice, YOUR space, YOUR time. I am just there to guide you.

  • YOGA TEACHER, SOUND HEALER, MASSAGE THERAPIST, ACUTONICS

Yoga, meditation and breath has been life changing for me. For me, yoga is everything. It’s not just about asanas, it’s our everyday hurdles and joys. It’s the calm it brings to my entire soul that will always bring me back to my mat.

My first hot yoga class was at Yoga Bare in 2013 and it felt like a coming home, even though I felt stiff and out of my comfort zone, it felt right. I then had an ACL injury in 2018 which saw me take time away from the mat. I made my way back in 2020 and decided to do my teacher training with Anneriek just for my own practice and learning. I didn’t really want to teach, but I fell in love with being able to share, what a gift to be able to give.

I have been a massage therapist for 14years and in the last 4 years I also completed my level 1 and level 2 (450hours) Yoga Teacher Training (Goddesses and Shiva Sequences) with Anneriek “Yoga4You”, level 1 and level 2 Sound Healing with “Sound Healing Australia” and my level 1,2 and 3 in Acutonics with “Acutonics Australia”.

My intention, my sankalpa, is to gift what I love doing and all that I believe in.
