Hot flow

This modern style of yoga uses traditional teachings and ideas, in a modern setting to create unity in mind, body and breath. Hot Yoga uses infrared heating to promote healing of soft tissues and joints. This type of heat nurtures muscles and promotes healthy circulation, can help reduce swelling and increase flexibility. This setting makes for a challenging practice, during which you will be encouraged to deepen your understanding of your breath, your body, its limits, and this life.

Suitable for all levels, all classes can be modified to suit beginners or long term practitioners. Please arrive early to speak to the Teacher if you have any concerns.

Warm flow

Room Temp. = 31°C

This warm class will aim to build heat from the inside as you flow through a similar structure to our Hot Yoga classes, with the heat turned down just a little. In the style of Vinyasa Yoga, asanas will be linked together with the breath in a sequence built to feel like a dance. This class is suitable for all levels, though if you have concerns, please arrive early and speak to your Teacher.

Slow hot flow

This class follows the tradition and lineage of Hatha Yoga and will focus on physical and mental strength, as well as quality of breath. Hatha is translated as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” Referring to the balance of masculine and feminine aspects within all of us. This class aims to create balance and unite opposites. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength and flexibility. We also learn to balance our effort and surrender in each pose. Asanas do not necessarily ‘flow’ together, students are given time to arrive in and experience each pose before moving on to the next. This is a great class if you are new to yoga and want to experience the heated setting. Long term practitioners will find time to deepen their practice and find true alignment adding a greater challenge. Yin yang fusion

Room Temp. = 31°C

Join us for a fusion of 30 minute ‘Yang’ style strength, movement and breath to get the body warm, then move into 30 minutes of deep ‘Yin’ style of deep stretching and 3 to 5 minute seated holds, to lengthen and open fascia around your joints.

Yin yang nidra fusion

Room Temp. = 31°C

Join us for a fusion of 40 minute ‘Yang’ style strength, movement and breath to get the body warm, then move into 20 minutes of deep ‘Yin’ style stretching and longer holds to lengthen and open the fascia around joints, finishing up with 15 minutes of iREST Yoga Nidra Meditation.

Suitable for all levels.

Yin yoga

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.

Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

While initially this style of yoga can seem quite boring, passive, or soft, yin practice can be quite challenging due to the long duration of the poses. We can remain in the postures anywhere from three to five minutes! Yin and yang tissues respond quite differently to being exercised. You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about. After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.

General yoga

General yoga will see a sequence of asanas linked together to promote synchronicity and fusion of breath and movement.

Moving at a steady pace, this class incorporates traditional physical practice with breath as well as modern techniques to encourage strength and range of motion.

As a student in this class you will be encouraged to leave your day behind, honour your body and calm your busy mind. You will find new ways to move, new ways to let go and new space to live in. Suitable for all levels, all classes can be modified to suit beginners or long term practitioners. Please arrive early to speak to the Teacher if you have any concerns.

Barre Pilates

Barre Attack is a low impact, high intensity workout combining the best of all the things I love most, from standing pilates work, short cardio intervals, to dance moves in a ballet class. The class is accessible for everybody and all levels of fitness.

Mat pilates

Room Temp. = 24°C (Non-heated)

If practiced with consistency, pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body. It’s the perfect complement to a regular yoga practice.

The emphasis of this class will be on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance.

The Pilates system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advanced, and also in terms of the instructor and practitioner’s specific goals and/or limitations. If you have any queries, please arrive early to speak to the instructor before class.
