Beloved Yoga Bare community it is with excitement that I'd like to share with you this movement practice. It’s a combination of functional movement, release technique, contact improvisation, somatics, bodywork and therapeutic yoga; essentially a little melting pot of all the things I've practiced over the years that keep me inspired and enjoying the moving body as both a healing therapy and artform.
In this block of three classes we will be focusing on floorwork; a series of movements that play with gravity and momentum on and along the floor. You won’t need your yoga mat for this one.
My intention through sharing this practice is to offer you perhaps some different ways for cultivating full body awareness and efficiency in motion. Ultimately it’s to have a bit of fun and to share in our collective drive for creating and maintaining easeful, efficient, strong and supple bodies and minds.
This practice often leaves me with a light and expanded feeling, like I’ve had a whole body workout and received a really wonderful massage at the same time.

What do you need? Wear loose and comfortable clothing that covers arms and legs, loose cotton pants or trackies are often better for this practice then yoga tights J Bring socks they can be helpful sometimes with floor work An open mind
